Safe Driver Education Co. Ltd.’s new concept, called “Vision for Safety”, is an educational program for either novice drivers, who want to get their driver’s license or for more experienced drivers who want additional training to reduce their risks on the highway. These Thai language training programs are based on recent research conducted in the USA and Canada concerning driver education and on a three-year extensive research project in the European Union called TRAINER, which outlined a totally new approach to teaching novice drivers. While Vision for Safety emphasizes the role of driver vision and attitude in reducing risks and increasing safety, the courses are structured to international standards using car-driving simulators; multi-media training with video, animation, and graphics to gain the students interest and attention; and modern vision screeners to evaluate the student's visual characteristics. Since driver vision represents 90% of what we do when driving, Safe Driver Education believes that its new program will have a positive effect in preparing drivers for the risks of driving.
